The ability to productively use change as a tool
for improvement is a crucial skill for all of us today. Organizations
and leaders that effectively engage their people in implementing
the right changes are more likely to enjoy sustainable success.
Individuals who develop skills to manage change in their lives
typically report less stress and greater satisfaction.
The Hudson Institute has developed two workshops
that I believe help people and organizations effectively understand
change and take effective action.
Cycle of Renewal
Both
programs are based on the concept of a predictable cycle of change
that can be understood and utilized to guide action.
Continuous renewal is possible for individuals who
effectively manage externally changes and initiate personal changes.
Planning for Change Introduction
Half-day workshop
Planning for Change is a half-day program that provides
a process and tools to help participants understand a natural
and predictable pattern of change and to know how to identify
their own location in that cycle. They learn how to evaluate their
current environment and take action around choices that support
their highest goals.
Upon completion of Planning for Change, participants
will:
- Understand the nature of the change process and
how to identify where they are in that cycle.
- Define the life skills necessary to be effective
in each phase of the Cycle of Renewal.
- Create a vision for themselves and examine the
strategies and choices that will help them reach that vision.
- Define specific action steps to successfully
architect the lives they want.
Renewing Teams and Individuals
1 - 2 day format
Renewing Teams and Individuals provides a process
and tools to help groups understand a natural and predictable
pattern of change and to know how to identify their own location
in that cycle. They learn how to evaluate their current environment
and take action around choices that support their highest goals.
This program helps groups and individuals discover the best steps
to take to achieve their vision of success.
Upon completion of Renewing Teams and Individuals,
participants will:
- Understand the nature of organizational change
and how to identify where they are in that cycle.
- Define the skills necessary to be effective in
each phase of the Cycle of Renewal.
- Identify strategies and choices to effectively
operate as a team, while navigating a changing terrain.
- Identify opportunities and activities that will
help them create and sustain life/work balance.
- Define specific action steps to successfully
architect the lives they want-both personally and professionally
